General Dentistry
We recommend a visit to the dentist regularly. A check-up with one of our friendly dentists involves a thorough examination of both your teeth and gum health, cleaning and topical remineralisation treatment. At Total Care Dental Studio, we recommend 6 monthly check-up appointments which when supported by a good at home routine, will help to keep your mouth and smile healthy.
Dental X-Rays
Routine X-Rays are usually recommended at the first check-up appointment and then once every 2 years thereafter. We use digital X-Rays which are 90% safer than traditional film X-Rays. These X-Rays are instantaneously processed on screen, so our dentists can outline any visible anomalies.
White Fillings/Tooth Restorations
The following are the most common reason as to why you may need a filling-
- Toothache/Decay
- Broken tooth/Chipped existing filling
- Replacement of existing filling due to the aesthetic look
At Total Care Dental Studio, our aim is to make sure your experience with us is pleasant and relaxing. We use the latest technology to ensure that our fillings are strong with a great aesthetic result. If you are experiencing a toothache or you simply wish to have old fillings replaced to achieve a better smile, Contact our team at Total Care Dental Studio today to arrange an appointment.
Extraction
An extraction or tooth removal is a routine medical procedure that both our dentists here at Total Care Dental Studio have a great deal of experience and skill in treating. We use a combination of numbing cream and a local anaesthetic to make your Dental experience as comfortable and pleasant as can be.
Mouthguard
A mouthguard provides a malleable, protective surface to distribute and dissipate forces on impact, therefore minimizing the ferocity of trauma to the teeth and soft tissues. Total Care Dental Studio offer custom-made mouth guards in a selection of colours and designs to help prevent accident or injury during contact sports and saving you a costly trip to the dentist.
Root Canal Treatment
Root Canal treatment is a procedure that replaces the infected or dying nerve in your tooth with a filling. Although this procedure often sounds scary, our kind and gentle dentists at Total Care Dental Studio will explain it fully in chair and make sure you are completely comfortable prior to commencing the treatment.
Signs that you may need a Root Canal Treatment
Only your dentist can determine if a root canal treatment is right for you. Still, there are a few tell-tale signs that you might need a root canal treatment:
- Severe toothache or sharp pain, especially when you bite down or apply pressure to the area
- Swelling in your gums near the infected tooth
- Prolonged discomfort to very hot or cold temperatures in the mouth
- Darkening or discolouration of the tooth
If you’re experiencing any of the above, you should contact your dentist immediately.
